I got a great vibe from Erika & Aaron when we first met. They were a referral from another client and they’re just a great couple. Their wedding is only 3 days before my own, so I understand everything their going through right now, just like they understand the same for me.
Their engagement session was a lot of fun! We started at Travel Town in Griffith Park, a place I haven’t been since I was a kid. Travel town is filled with a lot of old locomotives and train cars, sadly many have seen better days, but it was a great setting in which to photograph. We later continued the session at Griffith Observatory where we photographed with their two dogs, one of whom will be their ring bearer. This was something I wanted to do with Duncan my Lab, and Julia was finally on board, but the logistic just didn’t work. Either way, I’m excited to photograph their furry friend with the bridal party on the day of their wedding.
Photographing at Griffith Observatory presented a challenge due to the number of people and the low light, but Erika & Aaron really wanted some shots with the city lights behind them and I was happy to oblige. Though we had to keep stopping to let people pass, I think we made it work. I’m looking forward to photographing their Pasadena wedding, then getting some sleep before my own!
